Karma’s main entrance accessibility features planned include the following:

  • A standard 42” wide automated door with possible glass side panel/s
  • Push button door openers installed inside and outside the store
  • Reduced grade for interior and exterior ramps to meet with AODA compliance of 1-inch rise over 1-foot distance.
  • Exterior cane-detectable guardrails.
  • Smooth accessible pathway along the building’s north wall connecting the laneway to the main entrance (optional).
  • Accessible drop off zone for people with disabilities (optional).

Karma’s structural repairs to the main store area include the following:

  • Cracked roof joists that are not reinforced will be sistered.
  • Sistered roof joists that have pulled apart will be secured.
  • Missing cross supports for many of the roof joists will be installed.
  • Damaged, buckling brickwork on the north wall will be rebuilt.
