Karma – Fabulous at 50!

This year marks Karma’s 50th year in business.

A big milestone by any standard, but especially meaningful if you’ve been alongside Karma since the early days, back in the old warehouse basement that cost only $1 per square foot, or during the threat of closure in 2013, when the community came together and helped to keep Karma open.

50 years of serving member needs and operating as a self-sustaining business — we are so proud of our members and what we have achieved together.

On Saturday June 25th, from 2-6 pm, we will celebrate 50 years of co-operative action and sustainable food at Karma Co-op with a Laneway Celebration. Come out to Karma Lane for an afternoon of music, food, drinks and fun activities for all.

Spread the word by sharing the event on Facebook with your friends and family.

Since 1972, Karma has been providing sustainably grown and ethically-sourced food at an affordable cost. Karma is a dedicated employer with a hardworking, energetic and committed staff team, and we have strong relationships with a wide group of local, sustainable food producers. We’ve been living our co-operative values by educating our community about the co-op model and helping people live more sustainably.

You are an important part of this celebration. We hope that you will be able to join us for this special day, with family, friends and our beloved community.

Yours co-operatively,

Talia McGuire
