‘Buy the Bushel’ is a recently initiated Karma Co-op program to source locally grown fruits and veggies at the height of their seasonal availability. The exceedingly fresh produce spends as little time and distance as possible in transport, allowing you to sample these delights when they are at the very peak of their flavour and nutritional value. Receive these goodies at your friendly, neighbourhood Karma Co-op Food store in quantities that make for good eating and great storing.

This program is only just beginning, with strawberries and cherries already featured in the last two months. Developing plans for the near future include hosting workshops and sharing know-how on preservation techniques. So, whether you prefer to freeze or jam, pickle or dry, or just take pleasure in eating beautifully ripe fruits and veggies, know that Karma stands ready to support you.
