Dear Karma Members and Compassionate Readers,
Sometimes, I wonder what the world looks like to a child. Is it a perspective that, as an adult, is impossible for me? A viewpoint that cynicism, ennui, and the grind of daily responsibilities have perchance stole from me? But, then I remember that, many years ago I too was a child. In my memory of that time, what stands out is a sense of wonder at all the possibilities for growth, renewal and change. And hope for the future.
Looking at many of the things happening at Karma now, I find echoes of that same feeling. Be it in matters of personnel, produce, hiring, infrastructure, membership or community, there are plans and changes afoot that can propel Karma forward into its next fifty years of serving members and the general public.
But holding all these initiatives together, giving them purpose and direction, is the spirit of cooperation that animates everything Karma does. If there is one thing about Karma that remains constant, this is it. So, as its treasured members, come and be an active part of Karma Coop’s renewal.
