Autumn is here! But that doesn’t stop the flowers from blooming. Karma Member George Goodwin’s beautiful marigolds, seen in the picture above, were sown in the spring. Where did he get the seeds, you ask? From Karma’s very own Seed Library – which was also started by a Karma Member, Jennifer Knoch. Check it out when you visit the store next, in its usual place under the Members Table.
Speaking of the Members Table, you might be pleasantly surprised by the new interior layout and product changes at the store… And that’s just the start of the good news we have to share with you:
- Check out the October sale specials for great offers you can take advantage of
- In addition to those goodies, Miriam Erlichman’s recipe for a hearty fall casserole might also give you ideas about how to fill your shopping basket 🙂
Then, continue reading this edition of the Chronicle to find:
Janis Rubenzahl’s short and sweet article about reaffirming her love for Karma
- Karma President Andrea Dawber’s personal reflections on Canada’s second National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
- Jennifer Knoch’s invitation for a discussion focussed on the feelings inspired by climate change
If these member submissions inspire you, there’s things you can do to help Karma:
- Take a membership restructure survey, remember to register for the upcoming 2022 AGM and think about stopping by for the post-AGM Meet & Greet event too!
- Suggest local community events that Karma can participate in
As always, dear readers, send us your thoughts by emailing chronicle@karmacoop.org and also please join me in thanking Chronicle Team member Amelia Bailey. As of last month, she is taking a break after two years of dedicated work supporting the email and graphic design systems that allow us to publish this newsletter. We wish her the very best of luck in all her future endeavours!
On behalf of the Chronicle Team, including Alli Floroff,
